Fusca dining table and Bolbo chair / design: Thomas Feichtner
Thomas Feichtner describes design as the joy of an idea that flies like a spark. For his latest design, Feichtner gained inspiration from the lines and radii of a porcelain dining service. He has carried over their playfulness and delicate harmonisation to a modern dining furniture set that achieves a fine balance between straight-line minimalism and maximum comfort. Supported by a slimline wooden construction and produced with craftsman precision from solid wood rich in character, Fusca offers a high degree of flexibility. This high-quality dining table is available with a round, square or rectangular table top and offers room for up to eight people. The Bolbo chairs are powerful and exhibit striking curvature. A special feature of these chairs is that they are available not only with or without armrests, but also with just one armrest. This allows two chairs to be either positioned tête-à-tête or pushed together to create a little bench-style seat.
With Fusca and Bolbo, Feichtner has created a harmonious collection – whether as standalone pieces or in combination – that provides a contemporary stage for dinner with friends and family on Rosenthal porcelain.
Thomas Feichtner (born 1970) is an internationally established product designer based in Vienna. His work is positioned midway between industry and handicrafts, mass production and one-of-a-kind, and has found its way into numerous design collections. Feichtner has designed numerous products for international brands such as Head, Laufen, Bene, Absolut, Adidas, Augarten, Neue Wiener Werkstätten, TON and Carl Mertens, and has realized projects in cooperation with manufactures such as Vitra, Swarovski, Thonet and FSB.
