Sculptural lighting design: from vase to lampshade with Rosenthal Phi

Rosenthal – PHI Lamps

Freeze, Spindrift, City, Manhattan, Snow – five avant-garde textures by British designer Cairn Young have been translated into an exciting lamp collection by Rosenthal. Complex, spiral-twisted geometrical patterns cover the white porcelain bodies, transforming them into sculptural objects with an innovative 3D effect. Triangles become frosty flowers, crystals are shaped into snowflakes, cubic objects create a skyline. The translucent light breaks up the strict shapes and plays with the surface structure of the matt porcelain.

Rosenthal has brought on board the design label NUD Collection, which is making a name for itself internationally with creative lighting concepts, as a partner for the creation of the lamps. With Bolt, the Swedish company provides the matching lampholder for the porcelain lamp shade. With over 50 trendy colours and designs at present, the textile cables form a unit with the PHI lamp shades, which can be adapted to any furnishing style with over 700 combinations.

Whether as an individual light or as an exciting composition of several PHI lamps: The uncomplicated technology with an E27 lampholder for modern LED bulbs and ceiling mounting creates numerous possibilities for stylish lighting design –from decorative lighting accents to glare-free table lighting.
