Love at First Sight: The romantic vases for Valentine's Day
Rosenthal: Vesi
With "Vesi", Rosenthal focuses on casual aesthetics for every day. Two reliefs characterize the Scandinavian-inspired series: while "Wavelet" imitates the calm flowing waves of water on the outside of the vases, "Droplet" trenchantly places large and small drops on the shiny porcelain. The result is a successful mix of look and feel - the vases impress with beautiful design and feel good.
Rosenthal: Skum
Similar to soap bubbles, porcelain balls are joined together here to form an object with a strong character that will stand out in any interior. The 26 cm tall "Skum" vase is available in two versions made of high-quality porcelain: in matt and glossy white, it scores with Scandinavian understatement, by being a glamorous eye-catcher in every interior.
Rosenthal: Squall and La Chute
Fascinated by materials' plasticity and limits of deformability, French designer Cédric Ragot designed vibrant vase series for Rosenthal. Whereas the design "La Chute" takes up the big questions of creation and finiteness, his vase object "Squall" preserves a movement in all its dynamics in porcelain.
Rosenthal: Node
Intertwined shape, flowing lines, soft porcelain - the ingredients for the new vase of the Rosenthal Studio-line are simple, the result is beguiling. Designer Martin Hirth applies a typical design principle to the form of his new "Node" design for Rosenthal: Movement and the merging and transformation of the familiar run like a thread through the designer's product portfolio. In "Node", Hirth literally pours this principle into a voluminous, geometric knot shape and creates a vase that seems more like a sculpture than a utilitarian object.
Rosenthal: Flux
Rosenthal continues the success story of the "Flux" vase and reissues it in glass. The transparent material underlines the lightness of the object and emphasizes the flowing shape of the body. Two completely different shapes appear side-by-side but never seem to touch each other – abstract at the upper edge and geometric at the lower edge – thus creating additional interest. A vertical running line turns the object into an entity in its own right, as if by magic. The fascination of this vase is harbored in this contrast between simultaneous unity and inner conflict.
