Longing for the Sea: Rosenthal brings a fresh breeze at home
Rosenthal Junto - Aquamarine
Aquamarine is widely regarded as the mother of all precious stones. The name alone calls to mind not only the close connection to the shades of the sea, from pale to dark blue, but also its visual reflections, depths and shallows. The circular flowing blue shades of the Junto colour reflect water’s endless diversity. Interspersed with pastel dots in beige and cream, each plate is unique. Applied to cream-coloured stoneware, Junto aquamarine combines lightness with a pleasant freshness, turning the dining table into a place of well-being and joie de vivre.
Rosenthal – Pape's salt oyster
Pape's salt oyster, a gourmet gift idea, combines the fine cuisine of Sylt with elegant Rosenthal porcelain. The oyster features a delicate relief structure and a shimmering mother-of-pearl glaze on the inside, making it an excellent choice not only as a vessel for Sylt sea salt from Alexandro Pape's salt works, but also as an unorthodox table accessory. It is available by itself or in a set with a wooden spoon and a salt flask.
The Sylt sea-salt factory of chef Alexandro Pape produces up to 50 kilograms of salt per day from good North Sea water of verified quality. This salt is hand-sieved and poured into small salt containers. Sylt sea salt is perfect for serving and refining food. Sprinkled over dishes directly at the table, it adds a pinch of Sylt to cuisine.
Rosenthal - Cilla Marea
Inspired by the rugged beauty of the sea and those who brave its waves, Italian tattoo artist Pietro Sedda and his label The Saint Mariner created a series of stunning designs for Rosenthal in watercolour and ink. The combination of his exceptional, light brush strokes and archaic figures creates a unique aesthetic, merging dream with reality, the figurative with the floral and the graphic with the metaphorical.
The gift collection includes four designs that appear on plates, travel mugs, cups and bowls. The unusual gold titanium coating on the espresso and tea cups lends them an extra special quality.
Rosenthal meets Versace - Les Trésors de la Mer
«Treasures of the Sea” is the name Gianni Versace gave to his décor. Starfish, mussels, sea snails and corals in a variety of shapes and colour tones, Nereides, baroque volutes, frieze ornaments and sea-shells, set delicately in gold adorn the set. Fans of this beautiful décor will be delighted to own this matching gift collection which includes dishes of various sizes and blue-toned glassware laced with red coral motifs.
