Rosenthal and Thomas achieve an iF Design Award 2016
The Rosenthal Interior Collection made of coloured porcelain designed by Sebastian Herkner with product lines Meta, Mitis and Domo as well as the practical and shapely kitchen aids and – accessories of Kitchen by Thomas have been honoured with the renowned iF Design Award 2016. Rosenthal and Thomas convinced the international Jury with its outstanding creative quality within the discipline product design and the categories Home Furniture resp. Household/Tableware and became accepted among 5,000 applications out of 53 countries. For both collections it already is the second resp. third great design award.
The simple as well as stylish collection Mitis combines the functional and precise timing with modern Lifestyle to real eye-catching objects. The round clothes hooks Meta available in seven different variations and three colours set an emotional highlight in the corridor or bathroom. The archaic-puristical vase collection Domo appears in colours peach, mint, dove and stone.
Trendy design, functional cooking and stylish storing are in the focus of collection Kitchen by Thomas. The approx. 40 combinable parts of the collection also going along with all porcelain lines of Thomas, convince with a timeless restrained Design which benefits from an easy-care function as well as skilfull material mix of porcelain, glass, metal, wood or silicon and successfully sets a course with colours grey and green. The collection has been created by the German Designer Johanna Kleinert and the Scottish-Swedish think-tank “Office for Product Design”. The collection is amended by further clever products in 2016.
The iF Design Award is being granted since more than 60 years by the iF International Forum Design GmbH, Hanover. It is among the most important design awards in the world.
