Quiet Luxury: A Timeless Trend at Rosenthal Porcelain

Without any bling bling, loud colours or eye-catching logos: "Quiet Luxury" is one of the most discussed trends of this year. Quiet luxury stands for pure understatement. Subtle, high-quality creations in fashion, interiors and design shine in an elegant and quiet way. Quiet Luxury stands for restraint, quality and timeless beauty - values that Rosenthal has embodied for 145 years. The Rosenthal collections combine traditional craftsmanship and durable products with modern design and an elegant style, without ever being loud. We have put together the most beautiful collections that epitomise understated luxury.

In collaboration with Bauhaus founder Walter Gropius, the TAC collection was created in 1969, epitomising minimalism with its striking shapes and clean lines. TAC is still one of Rosenthal's great and favourite design classics today and stands for pure Quiet Luxury.

Philipp Rosenthal named the world-famous porcelain service after his beloved wife Maria, which was to become the best-selling tableware shape of all time. First sold in 1916, the polygonal service is still a classic today and combines tradition with modernity to create a timeless style.

"Magic Flute" by Bjørn Wiinblad imaginatively translates the opera of the same name onto porcelain and creates a timeless synthesis of music and tableware, not just for Mozart fans.

Clean chic and timelessness come together in Rosenthal's Francis line. Free and colour-filled checked areas alternate and the fine gold contour creates an effect reminiscent of looking into a kaleidoscope.

In Rosenthal's iconic design vases, each vase tells its own story. Fascinated by the plasticity and the limits of the malleability of materials, Cédric Ragot designed the Squall: the vase, designed in 2007, captures the dynamic movement of a whirlwind and allows it to solidify.

With its bulbous shape and pleated collar, the "Falda" vase by Sebastian Herkner is reminiscent of Art Deco objects.
