Opera Nights: Spectacular music pieces captured in porcelain

Rosenthal - Magic Flute/Design: Bjørn Wiinblad

"Magic Flute" by Bjørn Wiinblad is an opera dream in porcelain, an imaginative and unique synthesis of music and table culture. The "Magic Flute" dinner service has something very special that is not visible at first glance: a decoration on the lower side of the porcelain! Even in the white version, all the service pieces carry on its reverse side the text of the opera libretto to the scene shown in the porcelain relief. Written in Bjørn Wiinblad's ornamental handwriting and decorated in gold.

Rosenthal Heritage Collection - Turandot/Design: Gianni Cinti

Inspired by Giacomo Puccini's opera of the same name, the Turandot décor pays homage to the chinoiserie of the 18th century, which also played an important role in Rosenthal's designs of the late 19th century. A lavish round of peony blossoms, bamboo and ginkgo leaves in delicate colours meets golden dragonflies. The poetic porcelain paintings are set against a white or dark blue background framed by a narrow gold border.

Rosenthal meets Versace - Barocco Mosaic

The Barocco Mosaic dining collection is a celebration of brand heritage. Four archive prints are patchworked into a quintessentially Versace design. The colors are bright, full of joy and energy – pastel purple and soft mint fused with classic gold tones create a fresh look. The stunning tableware is inspired by the Versace Flash 2021 Collection, which celebrates attitude and a rebellious, young mood with its vibrant mix of neon colors, pastel shades and animalier patterns.

Rosenthal meets Versace - I Love Baroque

From a great heritage and an enduring fascination with glamorous historical eras, the Versace fashion house creates collections that are both timeless and contemporary, combining baroque opulence with the modern statement colours of black, white and gold in the new I Love Baroque dinner service from Rosenthal meets Versace. The Medusa head in the centre of the plate shines magnificently, while neoclassical symbols contrast on the plate rim and are framed by a geometric-clear band.
